The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the registration process for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) December 2025. Candidates can apply online through the official website csirnet.nta.nic.in. According to reports, the last date to submit the application form is October 24, 2025, while the fee payment window will remain open until October 25, 2025. The application correction facility will be available until October 29, 2025.
Exam Date and Schedule
The CSIR UGC NET December 2025 exam will be conducted on December 18, 2025 in two shifts:
- Shift 1: 9:30 AM – 12:00 Noon
- Shift 2: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
The exam duration will be 180 minutes (3 hours). The NTA will release the city intimation slip and admit card a few days before the exam.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).
- Candidates in the final year of their postgraduate programme are also eligible to apply.
- Age Limit:
- JRF: Maximum age is 30 years (relaxations applicable as per norms).
- Assistant Professor & PhD Admission: No upper age limit.
