Punjab continues to battle the aftermath of devastating floods that have displaced thousands of families, damaged homes, destroyed crops, and disrupted livelihoods across multiple districts. Among the worst-hit areas is Gurdaspur, where families are still struggling to rebuild their lives.
Amid this crisis, Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda has flown down to Punjab to personally extend support to the affected communities. The actor has been associated with the Global Sikhs NGO, founded by Amarpreet Singh, along with his close friend Maninder Singh, for more than a decade. Together, they have carried out humanitarian work across the country- from Kashmir to Kerala, Manipur to Maharashtra- and now in Punjab.

A source close to the initiative shared, “Randeep has always wanted to personally stand with the people of Punjab during this difficult time. By joining hands with Global Sikhs NGO, he is not only helping in the distribution of relief materials but also meeting families who have lost everything in the floods. He listened to their struggles and assured them that the relief and rehabilitation work will continue.”
During his visit, Randeep interacted with locals in Gurdaspur, offering words of encouragement while relief volunteers tirelessly distributed essentials such as food, clothing, and medical aid. His presence brought much-needed hope and highlighted the importance of solidarity during such testing times.
While the destruction caused by the floods is extensive, moments of compassion- like Hooda’s visit- reflect the spirit of resilience and unity that defines Punjab. As relief operations continue, such initiatives play a vital role in ensuring that affected families are not left behind in their journey toward recovery.
