In a captivating showcase at Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI, celebrated design house Gauri & Nainika joined forces with global brand Mothercare to present a Spring–Summer 2026 collection that redefines elegance for all ages. The collaboration, titled Mothercare X Gauri Nainika, brought a painterly romance to the runway, blending high fashion with the innocence of childhood.
Inspired by oil-painted canvases, moody still lifes, and radiant florals, the collection featured miniature edits for little girls that echoed the grandeur of Gauri & Nainika’s signature aesthetic. From vintage rose motifs to Renoir-inspired palettes, each piece was a tribute to timeless artistry and emotional depth.
The garments – crafted from organza, tulle, and silk mikado – were adorned with bows, ruffles, lace, and velvet accents. Classic silhouettes were reimagined with bold polka dots and painterly florals, offering a modern twist on traditional elegance.

In a heartwarming moment on the runway, children walked alongside adult models in miniature eveningwear, structured gowns, and voluminous satin dresses. This intergenerational presentation created a visual dialogue between youth and maturity, celebrating femininity in its most dramatic and romantic form.
The collaboration was a standout at Lakmē Fashion Week, capturing the wonder of childhood through Gauri & Nainika’s artistic lens while reinforcing Mothercare’s commitment to style and comfort for the youngest fashionistas.
