Maddock Films has officially unveiled the first look of Agastya Nanda from Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming war drama Ikkis. The film, based on the extraordinary life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient, is set for a December 2025 theatrical release.
The announcement was made on Maddock Films’ official social media handles, accompanied by the caption:
“Woh Ikkis ka tha, Ikkis ka hi rahega. Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films present #Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan – the untold story of the youngest officer recipient of the Param Vir Chakra.”
A Tribute to a War Hero
Ikkis chronicles the inspiring story of Arun Khetarpal, who fought bravely during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, displaying remarkable courage and selflessness at just 21 years of age. The film aims to bring his legacy to a new generation through a cinematic retelling of his valor, sacrifice, and indomitable spirit.
Agastya Nanda Steps Into a Legendary Role
Agastya Nanda, who made his debut in The Archies, will portray Lt. Khetarpal in what is being described as his most challenging role yet. According to reports, Nanda underwent intense physical and military training to accurately embody the young soldier’s discipline and determination.
Director Sriram Raghavan, known for films like Andhadhun and Johnny Gaddaar, is venturing into a different genre with Ikkis, blending his signature realism with patriotic emotion. Speaking about the film, Raghavan said he’s “honoured to tell a story that represents India’s bravery at its finest.”
Dharmendra Joins the Cast
The film also stars veteran actor Dharmendra, marking a rare on-screen collaboration between him and Agastya Nanda. The presence of the veteran star is expected to lend emotional depth to the narrative, bridging generations of cinematic legacy.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, Ikkis is expected to feature large-scale battle sequences, emotional storytelling, and Raghavan’s trademark intensity. The film will hit cinemas in December 2025, promising a powerful blend of patriotism, action, and human emotion.
