OTT Releases This Week : Rajinikanth’s Coolie, Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara, Mark Ruffalo’s Task and More

It’s time for your weekly OTT binge update! The coming week in India is packed with exciting releases across genres—crime thrillers, rom-coms, emotional dramas, and even legacy comedies. Here’s the full list of movies and shows hitting your favorite streaming platforms.

Task (September 8 – JioHotstar)

From the creator of Mare of Easttown comes Task, a gripping seven-part crime drama. Mark Ruffalo stars as FBI Agent Tom Brandis, who forms a task force to investigate a series of violent home invasions in Philadelphia. The prime suspect is Robbie Prendergrast (Tom Pelphrey), a family man hiding a double life. The show also features Emilia Jones, Thuso Mbedu, Raúl Castillo, Jamie McShane, Sam Keeley, and Fabien Frankel.

Only Murders in the Building Season 5 (September 9 – JioHotstar)

Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez return as Charles, Oliver, and Mabel. This time, the trio investigates the mysterious death of Lester, the Arconia’s doorman. New suspects include Renée Zellweger, Christoph Waltz, and Logan Lerman- each hiding secrets that may change everything.

aka Charlie Sheen (September 10 – Netflix)

A two-part raw documentary where Charlie Sheen opens up about his rise, fall, and redemption. Featuring conversations with Jon Cryer, Sean Penn, Chuck Lorre, ex-wives, and even his former drug dealer, this documentary promises unfiltered truths about his turbulent life.

The Girlfriend (September 10 – Prime Video)

Based on Michelle Frances’s bestselling novel, The Girlfriend is a six-part psychological thriller. Robin Wright stars as Laura, a protective mother suspicious of her son Daniel’s new girlfriend, Cherry (Olivia Cooke). What begins as maternal concern spirals into paranoia, betrayal, and tense emotional warfare.

Beauty in Black Season 2 (September 11 – Netflix)

The drama continues as Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams) takes charge of the Bellarie beauty empire. Rivalries and secrets deepen as Mallory (Crystle Stewart) and others challenge her authority in this power-packed return.

Coolie (September 11 – Prime Video)

After smashing box-office records, Rajinikanth’s Coolie arrives on OTT. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film follows Deva (Rajinikanth), a former union leader, who battles smugglers Simon (Nagarjuna) and Dayal (Soubin Shahir) while uncovering the truth behind his friend’s death. The ensemble includes Shruti Haasan, Upendra, Sathyaraj, and Rachita Ram, with cameos by Aamir Khan and Pooja Hegde.

Do You Wanna Partner (September 12 – Prime Video)

Tamannaah Bhatia and Diana Penty team up in this comedy-drama about two best friends chasing their craft beer dream. The series highlights challenges in a male-dominated industry, featuring Jaaved Jaaferi, Nakuul Mehta, Shweta Tiwari, Neeraj Kabi, and Rannvijay Singha.

Rambo in Love (September 12 – JioHotstar)

A breezy Telugu rom-com about Rambo, a clumsy office worker whose life takes a turn when his ex-lover returns as his investor. Starring Payal Chengappa and Abhinav Manikanta, this one is filled with lighthearted fun.

Saiyaara (September 12 – Netflix)

Mohit Suri’s blockbuster romantic drama Saiyaara stars Ahaan Panday as Krish, a troubled musician, and Aneet Padda as Vaani, a poet battling early-onset Alzheimer’s. Their emotional journey is tender, heartbreaking, and enriched with a soulful soundtrack.

The Naked Gun (September 12 – BookMyShow Stream)

Liam Neeson steps into the shoes of bumbling detective Frank Drebin Jr. in this slapstick reboot of the classic comedy franchise. Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Danny Huston, and others join the ensemble for a fun-filled nostalgic ride.

The Wrong Paris (September 12 – Netflix)

Miranda Cosgrove stars in this rom-com about an aspiring artist who mistakenly signs up for a dating show in Paris, Texas – rather than Paris, France. What starts as a plan to quit quickly turns into an unexpected romance.

You and Everything Else (September 12 -Netflix)

This Korean drama traces the evolving bond of two lifelong rivals-turned-friends, Ryu Eun-joong (Kim Go-eun) and Cheon Sang-yeon (Park Ji-hyun). When illness brings them back together, old wounds, resentments, and unspoken love resurface in a heartfelt tale of friendship and memory.
