The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) on Monday issued a revised list of 4,333 successful candidates for the posts of intermediate trained assistant teachers. The Commission also clarified that the list remains subject to change depending on the final orders of the Jharkhand High Court in ongoing cases related to the examination.
The JSSC had advertised 11,000 vacancies for assistant teachers in 2023, followed by written examinations conducted between June and July 2024. Document verification began on June 6, 2025, with 7,151 candidates called for scrutiny.
Breakdown of Revised List
- Total successful candidates: 4,333
- Non-para-teacher category: 2,879
- Para-teacher category: 1,454
Despite the declaration, 6,667 posts remain vacant, including 5,531 in the non-para-teacher category and 4,015 in the para-teacher category, highlighting the large gap still to be filled in the state’s teaching workforce.
Earlier, on August 13, 2025, JSSC had released a list of 4,817 successful candidates (3,009 non-para and 1,808 para-teachers). However, the Commission later scrapped the results due to discrepancies in reservation categories and issued the latest revised list.
Last week, the Commission also published the cut-off marks for the assistant teacher recruitment exam, providing clarity to thousands of candidates awaiting their results.
