Actress Saiyami Kher has officially joined the cast of Priyadarshan’s much-anticipated film Haiwaan, which stars veteran actors Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. The film recently went on floors in Kochi and is already generating major buzz in the industry.
Haiwaan is significant on multiple fronts. It marks the first collaboration between Saiyami and the celebrated trio of Akshay, Saif, and Priyadarshan. The film also brings back the hit duo of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan after 17 years, their last outing together being in Tashan (2008).
Sharing her excitement about joining the project, Saiyami said, “Walking onto the set of Haiwaan has been overwhelming in the most beautiful way. I still remember being that little girl who sat wide-eyed in a theatre, watching Akshay sir redefine action or laughing endlessly at Saif sir’s effortless comic timing. Back then, I never imagined that one day I would actually be on a set with the very people whose films shaped my love for cinema.”
Speaking about her collaboration with director Priyadarshan, she added, “For me, he’s not just a director, he’s a storyteller who has given us some of the most iconic films. To be guided by his vision is something I will always carry with me. His films were a big part of why I fell in love with movies, and now, to be on his set, is like life coming full circle.”
With filming progressing rapidly in Kochi, Haiwaan promises a unique combination of talent both in front of and behind the camera. Backed by a powerful cast and Priyadarshan’s signature storytelling, the film is already being tipped as one of the most exciting Bollywood releases to look forward to.
