
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has opened its doors for fresh recruitment in 2025. The corporation has released an official notification inviting applications for 841 vacancies under the posts of Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) and Assistant Engineer (AE). Vacancy Details
Out of the total 841 posts, a large share is allocated to the AAO cadre while the remaining positions are for AE in multiple engineering streams such as Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and IT. The exact breakup of vacancies for each category is mentioned in the detailed notification on the portal.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the AAO post, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
For the AE post, candidates should have a degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or IT), depending on the stream applied for.
The age limit is set between 21 and 30 years as of January 1, 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
Selection Process
The recruitment will take place in three stages:
- Preliminary Examination – Objective test covering reasoning, quantitative aptitude, and English.
- Main Examination – Includes objective and descriptive papers focusing on professional knowledge (for AE) and general awareness.
- Interview & Medical Test – Shortlisted candidates will face a personal interview followed by a medical examination.
Final selection will be based on performance across all stages.
