How the New Shortcut Works
Instead of saving a number before messaging, users can simply use a URL format supported by both WhatsApp Mobile and WhatsApp Web.
The process is simple:
- Open any browser on your phone or desktop.
- Enter the following URL in the address bar:- https://wa.me/PhoneNumber
- Replace PhoneNumber with the complete mobile number including the country code, but without any “+”, spaces, or special characters.
- This opens a WhatsApp page with a “Continue to Chat” button.
- Tapping it automatically launches a new chat window for that number inside WhatsApp.
