Actor, digital creator, and one of India’s most-followed young stars, Anushka Sen is stepping into a new artistic chapter as she announces her debut music single, titled ‘Chameleon’, set to release on November 18. The track marks a significant milestone in her career – a transition from acting and content creation to music – and features world-class production by Ken Lewis, the two-time Grammy Award–winning American producer known for his work with global icons including Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, and for contributing to 79 Billboard No. 1 hits.
With nearly 40 million followers across social media, Anushka has long been a household name since her early days as a child actor. In 2024, she made a widely appreciated OTT debut with Prime Video’s coming-of-age series Dil Dosti Dilemma, earning praise for her natural performance. Now, she brings her artistic evolution full circle by embracing music – a passion rooted in her childhood.
‘Chameleon’ was recorded in the USA, during her recent trip, where Lewis blended his signature global pop sound with Anushka’s youthful artistic identity. The song reflects her personal philosophy of constant change, creative freedom, and breaking out of boxes, celebrating the idea of evolving without apology — just like a chameleon.
Music, Anushka shares, has always been an intimate part of her life.
“I never imagined I’d have the courage to create something of my own and share it with the world,” she says. “Chameleon was born out of a very personal space – it’s about not letting the world define you. People expect you to stay in one lane, but I’ve never believed in that. This song celebrates the freedom to change your colours unapologetically.”
She also credits her mother for nurturing her musical roots:
“Music has been part of my journey since childhood. Being Bengali, I’ve always been surrounded by dance, music, and art. My mother has been my biggest inspiration in singing. With this new journey, I hope to merge everything I’ve learnt and create something new.”
